The DBS Enterprise Risk Manager is the lead risk expert within Defence Business Services, responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and assurance of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for DBS, in accordance with JSP 892 and the Orange Book.
This post is the lead in driving risk transformation within DBS, utilising digital capabilities and reporting to enable inter-DBS risk mapping from child to adult risks, and child to child as “siblings”, as well as maintaining the digitised approaches already in place. This includes:
Ongoing management and oversight of the Corporate Risk register, including monthly risk calls with corporate risk owners;
Reviewing business area risk registers, digitising where needed, and providing an enterprise analytical review over risk data, as well as advice and guidance to business area risk leads;
Maintenance of the Assumptions, Dependencies, Opportunities and Threats register for DBS;
Oversight of all risk and business related actions that map to risks;
Oversight of controls which map to risks, outside of the Internal Control Assurance Framework;
Risk mapping within the Service Catalogue assurance map, ensuring risk data is captured and mapped to support resilience over service delivery; and
Assurance reporting against the Orange Book Risk Management Framework.
