Are you an experienced tutor passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN & SEMH Tutor to join our team in Daventry. You will provide Maths and English tuition to students of varying ages who require additional support in these subjects. If you have experience assessing, planning, and delivering tailored lessons to students with diverse learning needs, this role is for you. Your ability to create personalised learning plans and establish a supportive, engaging environment will be key to helping students progress academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Assess each student’s individual needs and abilities to create a tailored learning plan. Plan and deliver engaging and structured Maths and English lessons that cater to students with SEN and SEMH needs. Provide a safe, nurturing environment where students feel supported and confident to learn. Develop positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress. Regularly monitor progress, adjusting teaching strategies to suit the student’s evolving needs. Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student’s development. Requirements: Proven experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs, particularly in Maths and English. Strong ability to assess, plan, and deliver tailored lessons that meet the unique needs of each student. Ability to build trusting relationships with students and create an encouraging, positive learning atmosphere. Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to overcoming learning challenges. Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or related fields are desirable but not essential. Benefits: Competitive pay rate of £20-£30 per hour. Flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule.
