Our client:
Our client is a leading UK Engineering, projects, and installations company, managing large EPC projects and contracts for major blue chip FMCG manufacturers UK wide. They are recruiting for an experienced Electrical bias Operations Manager, for an initial 6-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.
They are looking for an operations Manager to join their team on a contract/interim basis to lead the contracts & site management teams.
For the position of Operations Manager, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will lead the development of projects & contracts from initial design review, through to completion
Overseeing P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and flagging up an issues
Support Contracts Managers from costing, design review, tender through to delivery
Ensure Site managers and supervisors are fully supported through installations on customer sites
Ensuring projects are well planned and all supply chains, materials and supplies are in order
Key point of contract - liaising with key clients through full project lifecycle
Managing major key clients (value ranging - £200k-£1m), 6-12 projects at any one time
Updating costs and programmes – working passes (Checking timesheets)
Ensure all site H&S & electrical safety aspects are adhered - site RAMs / Permits etc
The successful Operations Manager, will need to have the following attributes:
Apprentice trained ideally to NVQ L3/HNC Electrical Engineering minimum
AMP / AM2 Project Management / 2391 Test & Inspection / SMSTS
Experienced in the designing of electrical systems and components that meet industry standards and specifications to food/beverage/pharma/automotive manufacturing
A strong communicator, Leader, organised, flexible mindset, strive for excellence
Excellent commercial acumen and technical expertise
Travel to customer sites UK wide when required
Flexible to work in the office/on-site where required
