The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) supports the Police and Crime Commissioner serving Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The OPCC provides a link between Hampshire & Isle Wight Constabulary (HIOWC) and the communities they serve through setting the budget and holding the Chief Constable to account in the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
The main function of the OPCC’s Facilities Management (FM) team is to maintain all Police estates across the county, keeping them safe and fit for purpose.
About the Role
The Eastern FM team covers the East of Hampshire, from Alton down to Park Gate. Your role will be to deliver the day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of the operational police estate. Being a visible part of the Estates Team, you will engage with building users and take an eyes and ears approach to building maintenance, proactively recording building issues in order to maintain high standards in building compliance. You will ensure that when failures occur or serious works to resolve issues are undertaken safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
About You
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar facilities role with a minimum of 3 years' experience. You will need to have good time management and prioritisation skills, and be comfortable working alone and as part of a team. Well-developed and effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to engage with people at all levels across the estate. A strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and relevant regulations is required. You must be computer literate and confident in your ability to learn new systems. A full UK driving licence is also required.
Benefits of working for the OPCC
