Introduction to NFU Mutual
NFU Mutual offers a wide range of products and services, including general insurance, life, pensions, and investments, and has been providing quality insurance for its customers for over 110 years. We carefully balance delivering excellent service to our customers whilst ensuring the business is run effectively. As a mutual, supporting our customers and paying their claims comes first. We are a top ten UK insurance company and the UK’s largest rural insurer, with an agency network of over 250 local offices.
About the Wrexham Agency
We provide NFU Mutual’s insurance product range and financial services. We are a business where honesty, integrity, and trust are at the heart of our values. We champion the first-class personal approach to customer service that NFU Mutual is famous for whilst also maintaining a supportive and friendly environment for our team.
About the role
We are looking for a helpful, proactive, and conscientious individual to join our busy team. You’ll play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, providing exceptional service to both our existing customer base and our new customers with a ‘can-do’ proactive enthusiasm. An excellent telephone manner, superb attention to detail, and a flexible, people-oriented approach to everything you do is fundamental.
It is essential you are competent at using standard computer programs such as Word and Outlook. Training will be provided for our internal computer programs, but a general grasp of IT will support this.
You must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at Grade C/5 including Maths and English.
Our commitment to you:
The welfare of our employees is paramount, and we are proud of the environment our well-established team has created in offices well located in Wrexham. Full training is provided, with the freedom to work without being heavily managed once you are trained. You will become a part of our special team, whose thoughts, ideas, and knowledge are well respected.
No previous experience is necessary, only a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and enthusiasm to be part of a great team.
Benefits include:
* 24 days holiday + bank holidays with the opportunity to buy and sell holidays
* Our office is closed on bank holidays and weekends
Closing date for all applications: 15/01/25.
Please note: you will be employed by an Agent of NFU Mutual and not NFU Mutual directly.
Data for unsuccessful applicants will be held for up to six months.
Whatever your role, as a key member of your agency team, you’ll enjoy the chance to develop your insurance industry knowledge and skills and build a rewarding career. For most roles, you won’t necessarily need an insurance background. It’s more about your personal qualities – your ability to learn quickly, develop strong working relationships with a range of different people, and give customers excellent service, with trusted advice and products.
Bring these qualities and you’ll be supported with a full range of training and development opportunities so you can build the career you want. These include the chance to gain an apprenticeship, as well as support to study for professional qualifications and full training in all aspects of the insurance industry.
