We have a new opportunity to be part of the Quality team in the role of Mechanical Inspector.
As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that all internally and externally manufactured metallic components meet the highest standards of quality. You will be central to the success of our manufacturing processes, supporting our commitment to delivering precision-engineered parts that are critical to our on-track performance.
You will be responsible for:
* Assuring the quality of metallic components through inspection and validation processes.
* Attending and proactively participating in meetings to support the wider Quality and Manufacturing teams.
* Working proactively, responsibly, and professionally within the company’s reporting structure.
* Maintaining and developing skill levels to industry standards, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing and inspection techniques.
* Carrying out any other duties reasonably requested in line with the role.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* An excellent working knowledge of machining processes.
* Strong experience with PC-DMIS and Polyworks Metrology Suites.
* Good working knowledge of CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), Absolute Arms, Shadowgraphs, Contour Tracers, and handheld measurement equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
* Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Inspector or similar in an F1 or high-level motorsport environment would be advantageous.
* Calm and confident under pressure, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Flexible attitude towards working hours, including the ability to adapt to changing demands.
* Strong communication skills and a respectful, team-oriented approach.
* Results-driven mindset with confident decision-making abilities.
* Enthusiastic, versatile, and committed to building strong working relationships.
* A clear understanding of, and commitment to, Health & Safety standards.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
