Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Cumbria

Location: Six-centre, mixed practice in the western Lake District - Situated in the heart of the Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site, presenting a wealth of opportunities for outdoor activities.
Facilities:
* Excellent facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, top-end video endoscopy, class IV laser, Tonovet tonometer, and dental radiography.
* Certificate holders in surgery, exotics, imaging, and cardiology, with referrals accepted for cardiology, ultrasound, and exotics.
Role: Opportunity for an experienced vet to join a friendly 27-vet team with various working patterns.
Duties:
* A standard 4-day week for experienced vets with options to increase salary or reduce hours.
* 15-minute consults with breaks, allowing time to catch up and report results.
* Shared small-animal only on-call rota, currently 1 weeknight in 10 and approximately 2.5 weekends in 10.
* ½ Day following a night on call and a day off following a weekend on call.
* Accommodation available for those who prefer to stay on-site for out-of-hours duties.
* Twilight RVN on-site for triaging calls and managing inpatients until 10:30 pm, with dedicated on-call RVN after that time.
Support:
* CPD encouraged and funded to certificate/Masters/PGDip level for long-term candidates.
* 1 week pro-rata paid CPD time in addition to CPD allowance.
* RCVS, VDS, BVA, and one additional professional membership fee covered.
Salary: Competitive package up to £70,000 p/a DOE for a 42-hour week.
