Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist you will be responsible for:
* Processed and managed high-volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices.
* Reconciled vendor statements and resolved discrepancies to maintain accurate accounts.
* Verified and matched purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices to ensure proper approval and coding.
* Managed vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues promptly.
* Assisted with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and journal entries.
* Ensured compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all accounts payable processes.
* Assisted with preparing reports for management, such as aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
* Performed data entry and maintained accurate records in accounting software and databases.
* Coordinated and processed employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
* Tracked and maintained accounts payable files, ensuring that documentation is properly filed and accessible.
* Implemented process improvements to streamline accounts payable workflows, increasing efficiency and reducing errors.
* Collaborated with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to ensure smooth operational flow.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:
