This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least 2 days a week.
Please note: The on-call rota is 1 week in 3 - on-call for a 7 day period every 3 weeks. First point of contact outside office hours, i.e. Monday to Friday 17:30-09:00 and for the weekend from 17:30 Fri to 09:00 Monday to deal with any incidents which require the Systems Administrator support.

Joining us as a Systems Administrator 24/7
In this role, you will be responsible for systems administration, building infrastructure pipelines, and maintaining the reliability of our services. You will also play a key part in designing and deploying new services, as well as maintaining, patching, and upgrading existing systems.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
* Manage and expand IT infrastructure, ensuring key services are monitored and alerts are sent
* Schedule upgrades and collaborate on network optimisation
* Maintain servers in AWS and other cloud providers/datacenters
* Act as the escalation point for software/monitoring issues and liaise with software providers
* Keep software, datasets, and systems up to date
* Assist with data and server migrations
What you’ll bring to the role
Strong experience in Systems Administration, including deploying operating systems and supporting applications on both Linux and Windows Servers. You’ll also have:
* Expertise in DNS management
* Proven experience in provisioning, managing, and troubleshooting services within AWS
* Hands-on experience in deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Knowledge of at least one scripting language for quick prototyping of solutions
