A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for a number of contract positions at our globally respected clients' facility. We are looking for a number of Assembly Technicians which will be responsible for the manufacture of aerospace components to join on a 12-month contract in Solihull. Please note the shifts for these roles with be either double days (rotating Mornings and afternoons) or a permanent night shift The successful candidates will work as part of a team to contribute to our business objective of delivering Hydro mechanical assemblies & components on time to a high specification for the customer, whilst operating in accordance with safety requirements and within established procedures. These roles report directly to Production Leaders for the facility. You will have the ability to play an active role in continuous improvement within your cell, develop existing processes and implement process improvements. As a Assembly Technician, you will be: Experienced in operating hand tolls (fitting wire thread inserts, fitting lee plugs, fitting lee jets) Experienced in use of torque wrenches Ability to follow standard operating procedures as required. Quality checks own work to ensure it meets the required standards and completes the relevant documentation accordingly. Raising of Non-Conformance documentation and assisting the Team and Management in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Maintain all relevant operational control processes such as visual management boards and planning schedules. Maintains equipment by ensuring TPM, 5S, calibration is adhered to. Follows health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Works in an integrated team to achieve the cells targets. Key skills and requirements of an Assembly Technician: Experience in manufacturing operations & production environment. Good manual dexterity skills. Able to work to technical instructions and adhere to fixed processes and quality standards. Confident in interpreting engineering drawings. Previous Aerospace manufacturing experience advantageous. Knowledge & experience of a wide range of inspection techniques. IT Skills (MES/Microsoft applications/etc).
