The Corps Leader will be responsible for all aspects of ministry and mission across the two Corps working within the context of The Salvation Army’s mission priorities of sharing the good news of Jesus, nurturing disciples of Jesus, serving without discrimination, care for creation and seeking justice and reconciliation. Key responsibilities of the role include: Providing leadership to the local mission expression(s) Modelling a Christian lifestyle and example Leading and facilitating Christian discipleship Casting a vision that reinforces the identity, vision, mission priorities and values of The Salvation Army To be considered for the role you will have: Experience of demonstrating spiritual leadership, ministry, sharing the gospel, leading prayer and worship and giving pastoral support in a related context, such as in a local church or corps Proven ability to facilitate creative and effective church and community projects and activities for diverse range of participants Strong financial management skills, with previous experience of managing budgets Excellent communications skills with proven good experience of managing employees / volunteers to deliver objectives Strong IT skills and a high level of English and numeracy to be able to fulfil all required duties of your role The ability to work flexibly to deliver the requirements of your role such as evening work/weekend work The role has an Occupational Requirement for a Salvation Army Soldier where you will participate in and lead the worship, mission and life of this local Salvation Army expression(s). In addition, you will also be expected to work to the Corps Leader ‘Code of Practice’ at all times.
