Job Description Job Title: Automatic Door Service Engineer Location: West Midlands Experience: Minimum 5 Years Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automatic Door Service Engineer to join our team covering the West Midlands area. With over 30 years of industry experience, we are expanding our Servicing Department and looking for a motivated engineer with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of automatic door systems. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our growing team and contribute to the success of our servicing operations. Key Responsibilities: • Fault Finding & Repairs: Conduct fault finding, strip down, and repair of all manufacturers’ automatic doors and equipment. • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all equipment is left in safe working order and restored in line with BS 7036 and BS EN16005 safety standards. • Scheduled & Emergency Maintenance: Provide scheduled maintenance services, as well as out- of-hours call-outs when necessary. • Timely Completion: Complete work in a timely manner, aiming to rectify faults on the first attendance to site. • Customer Communication: Maintain clear communication with customers during site visits, providing updates on the work completed, any ongoing issues, and any recommended future works. • Housekeeping: Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed during all visits, leaving the work area clean and organized. • Reporting: Submit detailed reports on the work carried out, findings, stock used, and a video showing the doors left in working order. • Consultation: Advise customers on their automatic door requirements and promote additional intercompany/group products where possible. • Health & Safety: Adhere to health and safety systems at all times to ensure the safe servicing of products. Required Experience: • A minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing automatic doors or a related field. • Strong knowledge of automatic door systems and practices. • Experience adhering to safety standards, such as BS 7036 and BS EN16005.
