Job title: Technical Data Pack (TDP) Team Leader

Salary: £50,817 – £63,685 (depending on experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Lead, establish, maintain and configuration control existing and new data, in line with the Configuration Management requirements of the applicable contract. This work is to be undertaken in accordance with working standards and practices (e.g. BS 8888).
2. Lead and manage a small team of TDP Engineers, overseeing TDP resource and tasks, assigning packages of work to individuals and support their development through objectives setting and Personal Development Reviews.
3. Deliver technical documentation to support engineering solutions in the form of drawings, models and other technical outputs in accordance with working standards, practices and in line with business configuration management processes.
4. Ensure that the TDP output meets appropriate quality requirements through correct drawing disciplines and modelling methods, design for manufacture considerations, as well as correctly populated CAD and PLM metadata.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Expertise in configuration management and revision control, with an understanding of the links between CAD, Product Lifecycle Management systems (i.e. Teamcenter) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems (i.e. SAP).
* Expertise in drawing standards, engineering and quality standards (e.g. BS 8888), and the application of geometric tolerances.
* Expertise in 3D and 2D CAD modelling, assembly and drawing (preferably CREO Parametrics, AutoCAD, GTXImage).
* Working knowledge of technical office processes and standards (i.e. Business Management System (BMS) and Life Cycle Model (LCM)).

The Weapon Systems UK Engineering team:
As part of the Weapon Systems UK Engineering team you may also be involved in supporting technical changes to our existing product portfolio (i.e. M777 towed howitzer, 4.5” MK.8 MOD 1 Naval Gun, AS90 Self Propelled Howitzer & 105 Light Gun) through analysis, concept design and tests and trials. This role also allows you to put forward your innovative ideas and solutions to the next generation of weapon platforms for the future battle space.
