Discover more about our company wide benefits and life at GSK on our webpage Life at GSK | GSK Packaging Component Management Specialist The Packaging Component Management Specialist Role is a key "subject matter expert" role within the Packaging, Labelling, Distribution and Comparators team to take accountability & responsibility for ensuring clinical supplies are packed and labelled using optimum components and that concise instructions for how those components are compiled are unambiguously documented in the Master Packaging Specification for operational use by Packaging Operations teams, globally. The role has accountability for the design and sourcing strategy of components with a key focus on developing elite vendor relationships to develop and shape the future business requirements. Through a developed understanding of the business vision, the role will be required to actively contribute to the implementation of future technologies and ways of working within the Global Pack Management organization. The position will also play a leading role to build in quality for the patient at the earliest possible stage. In this role you will Develop packaging component strategies to meet current industry and country specific requirements for the Clinical Trial Regulatory functions. Establish links with Clinical Interface and Packaging Operations teams to realize the requirements of the study protocols and manage any component related issues during packaging, acting as point of contact for customer component, PARF and MPS queries. Develop robust links and relationships with key vendor contacts to develop solutions and seize opportunities for improvement (e.g. service lead times). Investigate, recommend, implement and support process improvements and design innovations in the interests of Continuous improvement. Maximize the use of existing workload tracking tools and metrics platforms to ensure performance is measurable across all key interest areas (quality, on time delivery, customer focused lead times and productivity) Accountable for suitability of training materials specific to the processes for Packaging Assessment Request Forms (PARF), Master Packaging Specification (MPS) and vendor relationships. Maintain & administer key GMP documentation: Pack Families, PARF and MPS documents and the physical sample studio at Ware R&D site. Essential Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Experience working in a GMP environment focusing on packaging components Good knowledge of Clinical supply chain requirements and Regulations Ability to work in matrix teams in a cohesive and effective way Strong Change/Project Management Skills. Demonstrates ability to set and reach goals, high standards of performance and ability to resolve difficulties Experience in collaborating well with others to define and achieve team goals and objectives.
