UK residents only, no visa sponsorship available Job Title : Quantity Surveyor experience preferable in fenestration facades construction builtenvironment Department : Operations Reporting To : Commercial Manager As Quantity Surveyor at, you will become part of the Operations team & will be reporting to the Commercial Manager. What you’ll be doing: Reviewing contracts and new tenders to support Polar’s Commercial/Sales team. Contract negotiations prior to Polar signing up and committing to the terms laid out, outlining any changes that are required and working with solicitors where required. Summarising contracts and helping to direct the wider team to stay within the contract specifics. Building monthly applications or invoices, reviewing client’s payment notices and ensuring these are in-line with works carried out. Work with the Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered to contract. Reviewing and completing monthly cost analysis reports, including assisting with forecasting projects. Work with the Project Managers to ensure all variations to contract are identified, captured and issued to Sales and Estimating department. Assist the team with the management of any project delay notices and financial implications that are associated with them. Liaising with Clients/Project Management to ensure smooth handover of completed works. Attending final account meetings and negotiations to agree final accounts and retention releases. Subcontractor account management, including negotiating and raising purchase orders and agreeing monthly valuations alongside the Project Management team. Helping management with any disputes over contracts. Attend client meetings to support the Project team with regards to any site issues, financial disputes or any contractual agreements. Attend and contribute to weekly meetings and daily huddles as part of the Commercial team.
