You and Your Team:
As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will be reporting to the Credit Risk Manager - Structured Lending. Responsible for driving the optimisation of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives to identify champion strategies, whilst ensuring lending decisions are accurate and appropriate through tracking and monitoring.
In your day-to-day role, as a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, Structured Lending you will:
1. Develop expert understanding of the customer management lifecycle, including all aspects of decisioning and customer touch points.
2. Investigation and development of new data sources to be used for analysis and decisioning.
3. Support business growth and portfolio profitability while ensuring a balance between risk, reward and responsible lending, and controlling credit quality and performance.
4. Drive the optimisation of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives to identify champion strategies.
5. Ensure lending decisions are accurate and appropriate through close tracking and monitoring.
6. Perform inquisitive and innovative analysis and provide logical recommendations resulting in customer and/or business benefits.
7. Devise, initiate and deliver complex analytical/data driven projects fully incorporating Customer and business implications throughout.
8. Define analytical project phases, success criteria and timescales and drive projects through to implementation, managing the full project from end to end.
9. Oversee and peer-review team changes, mentor Analysts/Senior Analysts, direct daily work without formal management duties.
10. Deputise for manager as and when required.
What will make you stand out?
1. Experienced in consumer credit, preferably in a structured lending or online lending sector.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in analytical role.
3. SAS, Python or SQL - Highly Proficient in either (Advanced).
4. Advanced level experience in decisioning systems.
5. Experience in Credit Analytics.
6. Experience of scorecard cut-off setting and strategy optimisation through decline rules.
The interview process:
1. Up to 30-minute telephone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team.
2. 30-minute virtual interview with the hiring manager.
3. Final 1-hour virtual interview with the hiring team.
