Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing department. This role is full time and will be based out of their Southampton office.\n\nYou will be providing assistance to the Fee Earners on a mixed caseload of property files including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared equity/shared ownership, new homes and part exchange.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssisting fee earners with property matters.\nDealing with ID/AML procedures and requirements.\nOpening Files and closing files.\nWorking directly with clients to ensure a seamless service.\nDrafting contract packs and client care letters.\nResponding to Requisitions raised by the Land Registry.\nOrdering property searches.\nSend title documents to lenders and clients.\n\nDesired Skills and Experience:\n\nAt least 2 years + Legal Secretary/Assistant experience within a Residential Property department in a law firm.\nStrong and efficient secretarial and admin skills.\nHigh level of attention to detail.\nFast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.\nIT literate – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management.\n\nWhat they offer:\n\nFull time in the office – Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.\nSalary depending on experience - £24,000 - £26,000\nCompetitive holiday plus bank holiday.\nPension scheme
