Are you fluent in Arabic? We are seeking an fluent Arabic speaker to work as a Teaching Assistant in one of our secondary schools in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely with the SEN department to support a learner who has English as their Additional Language. Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant: Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons for a learner whose second language is English and native language is Arabic, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning. Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential. Resource Management: Help to organise resources, ensuring that all are prepared and available for lessons. Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments. Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as clubs, workshops, and field trips.About You: Fluent in Arabic. Experience with Children: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker preferred. Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people. Organised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
