Contract Manager
The Vacancy
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our client's team within the Responsive Maintenance division. Based in the Croydon office, you will be responsible for managing a social housing contract with an estimated value of GBP20m and 8 years remaining. This contract will cover Reactive, Disrepair, Voids, and D&M workstreams.
Key Accountabilities include:
1. Lead and manage a team of 100 staff, not including the supply chain, which includes Supervisors, Administrators, Planners, and Operatives.
2. Oversee customer satisfaction and ensure it meets contract expectations.
3. Ensure large multi-trade jobs are scheduled correctly, with clarity on required trades and timeframes.
4. Manage adherence to policies on attendance, mobile phones, driving, smoking, alcohol, and drugs, taking appropriate action when policies are not followed.
5. Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify and address invoicing issues affecting profit and loss margins.
6. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and operating frameworks.
7. Report to the Operations Manager.
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who:
1. Has experience in the Repairs and Maintenance sector.
2. Has a proven track record in managing large maintenance contracts (ideally within social housing).
3. Has experience managing a large and diverse direct labour team and supply chain.
4. Has a strong understanding of Health and Safety management.
5. Has commercial acumen and experience in managing large maintenance contracts.
6. Is willing to work overtime when necessary.
7. A full UK driving licence is required.
