This role supports the National Quality Manager to ensure regulatory compliance in LPG cylinder testing and recertification, with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), meeting daily targets and potentially training new testers.
As you'll be handling dangerous goods, you need great attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety.
Other duties include:
1. Perform periodic cylinder testing following industry standards and the Cylinder Testing Methods Manual.
2. Train and supervise Test Station Trainees.
3. Drive improvements by addressing corrective actions and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
4. Ensure compliance by maintaining IANZ-approved equipment certifications.
5. Complete checks on time and report to the National Quality Manager.
6. Maintain a clean and organized test station, ensuring tools and supplies are well managed.
What you need to be successful:
1. You are an IANZ Accredited 'Approved Signatory' with an LPGA Cylinder Filler certification.
2. Have knowledge of cylinder testing laws, experience with testing equipment and procedures, or be willing and able to train to meet the requirements to earn a Certificate of Signatory Approval.
3. Possess strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on detail, understanding of risk, all while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
4. A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
5. Satisfactorily pass background checks such as Criminal and ACC history, medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
6. Be a team player with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to meet the demands of the operation.
Must be a NZ resident or hold a valid NZ work permit and be residing in the country.
