Are you an established Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? If so, my client wants you to join their Building Services team in London!
Their welcoming and diverse team are working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in the UK and across the world. You'll have the opportunity to play a major role in delivering schemes across a huge range of sectors.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist and deputise for the Regional Director in leading, managing and taking responsibility for the technical and commercial performance of your designated projects.
2. Keep abreast of industry best practice and new developments in your area of technical expertise.
3. Develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and participate in industry events (seminars, conferences, etc).
4. Contribute to the management of all technical and commercial aspects of commissions.
5. Set and maintain technical standards.
6. Review and approve work prepared by others.
7. Comply with all safety and IMS procedures and ensure that staff do likewise.
Qualifications:
1. Degree qualified Chartered Engineer in a relevant discipline, or an Engineer with lower qualifications but a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
2. Good commercial awareness and judgement.
3. Drive and self-motivation to continuously develop skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
5. Ability to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Ability to lead and motivate staff by example.
8. Reliable and responsible attitude to work.
