FULL TIME 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Coordinator to join our award-winning organisation in Derby. As part of a dynamic and innovative team, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating both online and in-person events.
As you already know, our company is a leader in advocacy and training for parents and professionals of children with additional needs, and our events attract global audiences.
This role offers a perfect chance for a skilled events professional to advance their career within a supportive, modern, and fast-paced work environment. You will work closely with speakers, agents, and a talented marketing team to see each event through from concept to execution.
The Role Will Involve...
Lots of event coordination, as we typically organise around 2 events every week. The events are a mix of online and offline, social and informative. A great opportunity to get those creative juices flowing!
In order to excel in this role, it's essential to cultivate relationships, making relationship management a key skill. These relationships will be both internal with other team members and external with booking agents and speakers.
A major part of relationship development is negotiation and agreeing on contracts. We are a transparent organisation, and this shines through in the way we organise our events with speakers.
The events you organise need to be communicated effectively to our audience. For instance, there is nothing quite as frustrating for our community as missing a webinar that is desperately needed! Therefore, you will develop a plan with our marketing team to ensure the events are communicated, marketed, and advertised consistently and effectively to our community.
Your charisma and confidence will be the welcoming face of our events, both online and offline. Your role will include welcoming attendees, ensuring they are comfortable and ready to learn, and hosting the event. Online hosting and in-person hosting are quite different, but your flexibility and great communication skills will help you move between the two platforms to ensure a consistent, warm welcome to our participants.
The role is fun but requires a lot of organisation. Administration and compliance are at the heart of this role, ensuring we have agreements filed correctly and information readily available to other team members. We have company SLAs that currently have 100% compliance, and we expect this to be upheld.
Being a sociable person, you will naturally seek out networking opportunities to further grow our network of experts and our company offering.
