STRATEGIC BUYER
ITP Aero UK are recruiting for a Strategic Buyer to join our growing team in Hucknall - UK on a full-time basis, 37 hours per week.

What is the objective of this role and what does it consist of?
The successful candidate will:
Support the creation of the integrated Commodity strategy and the execution of associated strategic sourcing and commercial activities. The Buyer will be responsible for the in-contract management of designated suppliers, providing continuity of supply and required levels of technology, quality, cost and delivery performance. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all sourcing activities are in line with the defined purchasing and compliance processes, which will include the raising and management of all purchase documentation within the appropriate system.
What profile are we looking for?
Core Duties and Responsibilities will include:
1. Supplier Relationships and Stakeholder Management: effective day-to-day management of partners and suppliers and nurturing effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
2. Cost Management: work with suppliers to identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities in line with agreed contracts with deployment of relevant cost models.
3. Strategic Sourcing: support the execution of sourcing and commercial activities to maximise the value proposition across designated commodities / categories.
4. Strategy: support the development and deployment of relevant integrated commodity / category / supplier strategies, providing a clear strategic vision and working collaboratively to ensure that strategies meet the needs of current and future manufacturing programmes.
5. Quality & Delivery: where designated, select a supply chain capable of meeting quality and delivery requirements and ensuring the management and rectification of quality and delivery issues.
6. Processes and Procedures: accountable for compliance to company policies, processes and procedures, ensuring all purchasing records and documentations are correct and in line with regulatory requirements; understanding supplier obligations and addressing any supplier compliance concerns.
7. Programme management: development of comprehensive workable solutions and support the deployment of risk management practices to assess, communicate and mitigate supply chain risks.
It is essential that the successful candidate:
1. Proven experience of working in a procurement and sourcing role, managing both internal customers and liaising with suppliers.
2. Good communication skills to influence and negotiate with both suppliers and customers.
3. Experience of leading supplier negotiation and supporting the creation of a procurement strategy and a good balance of commercial acumen and analytical skills.
4. Experience of working within diverse teams and has exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
It is desirable that the successful candidate:
1. Has a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience and an industry qualification such as MCIPs.

What are the working hours?
Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours 08:00-16:12.
