Responsibilities
About your Role

As a member of the Finance Team you will have the opportunity to get involved in the business and help shape the efficiency of the Finance Department within a successful consulting firm.
Responsibilities will be varied and will cover the following:
* Accounts Payable - managing purchase ledger, supplier reconciliations, payment run
* Accounts Receivable - Credit control, monthly invoicing to clients, dealing with client queries
* Work in Progress - Working with the business to ensure contractual documentation and purchase orders are received in a timely fashion in order to raise invoices.
* Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, including revenue reconciliation
* Adhoc Reporting and Analysis
* Group Reporting - Reporting intercompany, and cashflow figures on an ongoing basis.
* Overseeing the submission of timesheets
* Business partnering - communicating with the company for project, debt and WIP management
* Audit Sampling and support - There is one statutory audit each year and in addition to that there are mini audits, which take place around September and December each year.
* Continuous improvements of the financial processes to ensure ongoing efficiency of the team
* Contribute to a culture of sustainability and embrace Moorhouse's social responsibility by integrating responsible practices and upholding ethical standards and awareness in everyday work.
Essential skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to be:
* 3+ years accounting experience, ideally in a professional services business
* Studying toward a professional accounting qualification
* Numerate
* Familiarity with Salesforce would be advantageous but not essential
* Highly proficient in Office 365 including Excel, Teams, and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills
* Comfortable engaging, building relationships with stakeholders
* To be flexible, manage ambiguity and adapt successfully to changing situations
* Highly organised, proactive and detail-focused
* To be able to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team

* A pro-rata base salary of £35,000 and circa 10% bonus to be paid on completion of the contract.
