Job Description An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 30 LES Driver 2s to join our Parks and Open Spaces team on a permanent basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services. Position Details You will drive and be responsible for a variety of vehicles, complete all relevant paperwork and carry out any associated labouring duties, including the use of handheld machinery such as hedge trimmers, grass trimmers, backpack blowers, etc. to assist higher graded operatives / tradesmen with tasks that cover the general maintenance of highways, properties, open spaces, inland waterways, and parks. You will also transport people, goods, and materials to/from given locations as instructed and ensure that the daily scheduled work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner. The location is city-wide, and candidates must be prepared to work at any Depot location as required. PLEASE NOTE, A DRIVING LICENCE IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT OF THIS ROLE. It is anticipated that interviews will take place from week commencing 22 April 2025. Contract Details Weekly Hours: 37 hours per week Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rota between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm Annual Salary: £23,664.42 Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,091 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127.
