Prep Paint Technician required for a Repair Centre in Birmingham\nSalary DOE in the region of £40-45k basic + Bonus\nOur Company has grown significantly over the last few years and with our continued success we are planning on further expansion. Due to this sustained growth we are looking for a passionate dynamic individual who is driven and would love to join our fast-paced team.\nThe Prep Paint Technician is an integral part of our business, the main purpose of this role is;\n * To ensure the repair of motor vehicles of all types is carried out to motor manufacturer industry standards or repair methods.\n * To carry out such work in an efficient, safe and economical manner, ensuring the integral quality of the vehicle and its safety is maintained.\n * To employ such knowledge and skills as may be required to restore vehicles to an industry recognised acceptable standard.\nKey Responsibilities\n * To observe, recognise and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.\n * To ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.\n * Removal and safe storage of vehicle components, fluids and gases as directed by work order.\n * Removal and safe disposal of vehicle components and fluids as directed by work order.\n * Quality control of all repairs, with final stage sign off.\n * To report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.\n * To actively make sure the repair method is in the job pack and is fully read, understood (e-scribe, manufacturer or other source) and displayed with the vehicle at all times.\n * To observe, recognise and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.\n * To interpret and implement technical service instruction data.\n * To indent for replacement parts and record usage.\n * Paint repair – to be able to accurately use paint mixing schemes, computerised scales, spray booths and drying lamps.\n * To ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on job card.\n * Application of topcoat to manufacturer’s specification.\n * Preparation of repaired areas as directed by work order, in readiness for application of topcoat.\nApply now with your full CV to Chloe at WeRecruit Auto quoting job reference ST1552\nAutomotive - Motor Trade - Bodyshop - Crash Repair Centre - Accident Repair Centre - ARC - Bodyshop Technician - Bodyshop Mechanic - Prep Paint Technician - Panel Tech - Paint Sprayer - Bodyshop - Birmingham - Walsall- Dudley-Wolverhampton - Solihull- Redditch - Full Time - Permanent - Job\nFull Time - Permanent - Job\nFollow us on (email address removed)\nShould your skills and experience match what our client is looking for, we will contact you before proceeding with your application, either via phone or e-mail initially.
