An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a Band 7 Podiatry Team lead in Worcestershire. Are you a highlyexperienced, motivated Podiatrist, committed to leading and deliveringexcellent standards of patient care?
We are looking for a dynamic andmotivated individual to provide excellent leadership within one of thecommunity podiatry teams coveringWorcester City and Malvern promoting clinical excellence across the county. You will be a compassionate, accountableindividual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respectand seeks to deliver excellence in their role.
You will be a key memberof the podiatry service across Worcestershire. You should be an effective communicator withthe drive and enthusiasm to work with your team members to expand their roles.You should be able to negotiate and collaborate effectively with seniorclinicians and other team leads and facilitate the delivery of excellentcare. You will also need to be able tomanage information to inform service development and to demonstrate achievementof target.
As a team lead you willdemonstrate leadership skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to workeffectively in partnership with the team, other professional and agencies. Youwill be able to work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines, haveprioritisation skills and a positive attitude and solution focussed approach tothe delivery of this role.
Main duties of the job
1. Act asa role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards ofprofessionalism.
2. Usetheir initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality oftheir work and the service they provide to patients.
3. Beresponsible for the leadership of the Podiatry Team within a designatedgeographical area within Worcester City and Malvern.
4. Contributewith other team leaders to the development of the Podiatry service across thecounty.
5. Representthe Trust on matters affecting Podiatry when linking with partner organisations.
6. Takeresponsibility for a delegated budget, performance management issues,recruitment and retention within a designated part of the service.
7. Beresponsible for the supervision and appraisal of senior Podiatrists within theteam.
8. Workingas an autonomous practitioner, to provide high quality patient focussed carethrough assessment, development and delivery of individual interventionprogrammes.
9. Takeresponsibility for own complex caseload within the team, working closely andliaising with the clinical lead and Multi-Disciplinary Diabetic Foot Team.
10. Undertakeclinical assessment and treatment, including management of risks.
11. Manageconcerns with team members performance / absence in line with the Trust policies. Ensureservice continuity through monitoring leave and sickness and highlight issues.
