ABOUT THIS ROLE The role of End User Computing (EUC) Senior Lead sits within our Leeds based IT team at ghd. As part of the ghd IT function, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and working alongside our parent company, Wella, in meeting their IT needs and achieving their ambitious goals, to drive technological excellence within the global beauty and styling industry. From our strong foundation of delivering secure and stable IT services across both ghd and Wella, we’re now transforming the IT function into ONE WELLA IT – a streamlined, integrated organisation focused on innovation, process standardisation, and seamless collaboration that supports both organisations. We are seeking an experienced End User Compute Engineer who embraces our vision and is keen and confident to deliver results. You will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the company's end-user computing environment. This includes desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated software and peripherals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude. JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related software. Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of end-user devices. Working closely with and influencing counterparts across the business, including partner organizations, suppliers, Local IT and other 3rd Parties. Provide training and support to end-users on the use of hardware and software. Ensure all devices are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates. Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for end-user support Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to end-user computing. Any other duties commensurate with the role. REQUIREMENTS 3 – 5 years’ experience in a technical support role. Experience with Microsoft InTune and other MDM (e.g. AirWatch) Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS, IOS operating systems (Current and past). Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID. Experience working with Microsoft security tools (e.g. MS Defender). Familiarity with common enterprise software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud). Security Best Practices / Secure by Design. PowerShell, scripting, and automation would be an advantage. Remote Desktop Support Tools. Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools ITIL knowledge or certification would be an advantage. Certifications such as CompTIA A, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong, general understanding of IT (including server, cloud technology, networks) and be able and willing to “pitch in” with the team during periods of high demand. Essential: Self-Motivated, confident, driven individual, with proven ability to manage own workload and show initiative. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders to gather information and co-ordinate priorities. Highly organised multi-tasker who can manage ongoing priorities. Work effectively on your own and as part of a wider team. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure within deadlines. Ability to understand priorities and respond accordingly. Willingness to learn and develop.
