Dunlop Oil & Marine is a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of hoses for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, for both offshore and onshore based operations. Position Summary Main job functions The main function of the role is to carry out full scale product testing (production based and qualification based) and maintain test facilities and associated equipment. Support other PPI based projects and activities as required. Day based position Principle Accountabilities Duties, Responsibilities and Key Tasks Installation and removal of hoses to/from test rigs Operate test rigs for Qualification, Production and Life Assessment testing (DTTR, DTR, 300T, Burst, Crush, Misc.) for all DOM hose types Follow provided Test Procedures, Test Menu's Operate Fork Truck to facilitate test activities Liaise with Suppliers for provision and return of equipment hire Maintain up to date prioritised schedule of activities in close liaison with Warehouse and Technical teams Liaise with third party inspectors to witness testing Perform hose cutting for inspection / samples Liaise with internal (Planning/Warehouse/PD) for test scheduling Creation and documentation of test results for formal review Where required, travel to and support product testing at external test facilities Liaise with Maintenance to ensure test facilities are kept in well maintained condition Maintain and organise ancillary test equipment (bolts, gaskets, plates etc.) Ensure all tests are performed in a safe manner, ensure all equipment is maintained in good condition Take part in H&S audits on test facilities when required Ensure all test rigs have up to date risk assessments and follow up on resulting actions Ensure all test rigs and associated test equipment have up to date calibration records. Support other PPI related activities and projects as and when required. Carry out the job requirements in full compliance with the Code of Conduct. Qualifications / Skills Required Good standard of secondary school education. Must be a good communicator at all levels. Good written and verbal communication skills.
