* Undertake technical/design reviews, provide technicaldirection toengineers
Articulate, define and documentsubject expertise, approaches and standards in order to extendbusiness knowledgebase Supporting the development ofindividuals and teams to enhance skills and competencies, such thattechnical capability objectives are fullyachieved Define the qualificationobligations for the assurance hold points during build, test andcommissioning, and providing assurance to the Design Authority asto the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supportingdocumentation Undertake functional designand/or provide qualification and evidence for acceptance, fitnessfor purpose, legislative requirements, andsafety Obtain confirmation beyondreasonable doubt by review, surveillance and audit that thoseassumptions, underpinning engineering data, analysis methodologies,and interpretation of results have beenvalidated Liaise with both internal andexternal stakeholders as required ensuring that their requirementsare adequately supported and that their needs are fully consideredand incorporated where appropriate andagreed
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
A detailed and comprehensiveunderstanding of concepts and principals relating to an area withinan engineering discipline Significant experience and ableto apply knowledge to a wide range of engineering issues within owndiscipline and other engineering disciplines CEng level or equivalent levelof capability
Desirable:
Experience within a team,project or discipline, recognised by others as a source ofauthoritative knowledge and is sought out for advice and mentoring Knowledge within the Submarineor defence industry
* Knowledge of Design, Manufacturing, assembly,Commissioning and testing submarines lifecyclephases
