The successful individual will be an experienced insurance professional, willing to lead and manage BCD’s largest renewals department. The primary goal of the team is to retain as many clients as possible as and when their insurance policies come due, as part of this process you will be expected to ensure your team r ecommend suitable new policies to clients and generated additional revenue. Key responsibilities Provide leadership and support to direct reports Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed Deliver service KPIs, including; Renewal Retention & Policy Count Targets, Renewed Policy Income, New Business Policies and Income, Quality Assurance scores, error levels, and complaints levels, as well as Personal and Professional development expectations. Promote, develop and enable our values and culture within the team and across the business Instil a culture of professional development within the team, including qualification, product and technical knowledge with relevant competency levels achieved and maintained Manage and develop individual and team performance through identification of training needs & implementation of coaching and development plans Operate within an agreed resource budget; prioritising and allocating resource effectively and recruiting suitable people in accordance with current employment legislation Ensure compliance and company policy and procedures are followed consistently to minimise risk to the company Support, motivate and communicate relevant information to the team effectively, ensuring a strong service focused culture Handle complaints both timely and effectively Prepare management information Maintain own technical competence with an in depth knowledge of all relevant products and market trends to effectively assist with referrals and handle a variety of complex work Work with colleagues to ensure that high levels of service are achieved and operational efficiency improvements are made across the business Knowledge, Skills And Experience Proven experience within the UK insurance industry People Management experience (strongly preferred) Proven ability to compile, understand and use management information to spot issues/opportunities and then act upon those findings with your team, producing a positive result.
