Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for those you support, whether in their own homes or within care facilities. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at promoting independence and dignity for our clients.
Responsibilities
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
2. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
3. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans.
4. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
5. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities.
6. Monitor and document client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status.
7. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively.
8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
9. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop tailored care plans.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a care setting is essential.
2. Familiarity with patient care practices, including CPI training, Buccal Training, Epilepsy Awareness, Ligature training.
3. Experience working in a nursing home or similar setting is advantageous.
4. A valid driving licence is required due to poor transport links service needs.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
6. A caring attitude and commitment to providing high-quality support services.
