What you'll be doing:
1. Ensure contractual security requirements are reviewed thoroughly prior to acceptance by applicable stakeholders.
2. Manage stakeholder interfaces to ensure timely delivery of reviews and compliance assessments.
3. Coordinate and deliver security input into contractual change management activities.
4. Capture and manage lessons learnt reviews and coordinate actions regarding required improvements.
5. Work unsupervised, taking the initiative and dealing with complex situations.
6. Provide security advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders and make recommendations to improve security solutions.
7. Support the security culture by raising security awareness among employees, management, and the community in the local area and modelling behaviours that demonstrate BAE Systems values.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt these skills to different circumstances and to be able to apply these skills across all levels of the enterprise.
2. Strong understanding of security and security principles, gained in a corporate security management, aviation security, defence, law enforcement, or military environment.
3. Proficient in MS applications, particularly Excel.
Desirable:
1. Experience or exposure to Government contracts such as MoD/HMG Contractual Process and Security Aspects Letters.
2. Commercial, legal, or project management background.

The Head Contract Security Team:
The post holder will execute security responsibilities associated with the Company's Head Contracts in order to protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information, and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfill regulatory and legal obligations. Responsible for providing guidance and support to the functions on the security aspects of Head contracts including coordinating compliance assessments, communicating security aspects to the business, and for the provision of authoritative contract security advice at all levels of the enterprise, assisting with requests for quotations and other commercial processes to enhance business performance and contractual compliance. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
