Job Description
Our Client has an exciting opportunity within the Global Repair Network Team working closely with our external network of MROCs (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Centres), Regional Service Centres and authorised Repair Vendors.
The Project Leader role is a senior role within the repair network team based in Warwick. You will support the ongoing development of both short-term tactical capability programmes as well as creating, and leading long-term strategic work streams that will ensure the correct levels of capability and capacity within the repair network are maintained and/or expanded as required. You will provide hands-on capability enablement support for both AGT Gas Turbines and Power Turbines, ensuring we provide fast action responses, and create solutions that are cost effective, technically fit for purpose, and delivered in a timely manner, whilst contributing to the success of the business.
Responsibilities
1. Assess, investigate, and devise project-based technical support to allow progression of our key Power Turbine and Gas Generator capability programmes.
2. Project support for our MRO capability development activity, this may include working off site with customers/vendors.
3. Work on fast-paced issue resolution type projects that are dynamic in nature.
4. Be capable of managing all aspects of project management including risk registers, communication plans, and escalation processes.
5. Ensure appropriate project KPIs are in place, monitored, and communicated to the larger team.
6. Support the MROC's and Regional Service Centres with a 'hands-on' approach for new to site capability.
7. Work closely with the extended MROC, Service Centres, and Repair Vendor network, analyse technical data to identify, develop and apply optimum capability solutions.
8. Continuously identify and implement improvements in the work environment and in technical solutions delivered to the customer.
9. You may be required to provide technical support outside normal working hours. Flexibility is required to meet customer requirements. You may be required to travel to overhaul bases and service centres at short notice, and to build working relationships with these organizations, and manage the quality of their work.
Your Profile
1. Engineering Experience/Degree advantageous but experience essential.
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical or technical experience.
3. Minimum of 3 years' experience in leading programs and projects, ideally with a formal project management qualification. This could also be as a Repair engineer or a project engineer/ lead mechanic in a shop / team leader / managed a shop.
4. Ideally have working knowledge of gas turbines, power turbines, and/or aero-derivative industrial equipment.
5. Experience of operating in an MRO/field service or repair environment would be advantageous.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, and you will be able to interact at all levels, demonstrate initiative, and be a flexible self-starter.
7. Be able to effectively communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
8. Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and ability to self-manage priorities within the team's objectives to achieve customer expectations.
9. Project Management experience would be advantageous also.
10. Project management Software experience would be desirable but not essential.
