Chef
* Location: Rossdowney, County Londonderry, BT47
* Job Type: Full-time
* Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, 5:00am to 8:00pm (flexibility required)
Join our Investors in People accredited, family-owned group where ambition, customer focus, teamwork, and integrity are at the heart of our operations. We are thrilled to expand our services with a new Production Kitchen and are seeking a dedicated Chef to lead our culinary efforts.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare consistently high-quality fresh food and ensure the production of centrally developed recipes and menus at high volumes.
* Allocate tasks to the team for efficient kitchen operation.
* Use advanced kitchen tools and equipment to produce high-quality dishes.
* Adhere to all food safety, health & safety, and trading standards regulations.
* Maintain quality and consistency in food production, aligning with the organisation's financial constraints and ethos.
* Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective shift handovers.
* Supervise and motivate employees to reach their maximum potential.
* Manage the commercial aspects of production lines, identifying market trends and commercial opportunities.
* Lead by example, ensuring high standards and safe working practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant Catering Qualification.
* Food Safety Qualification.
* Proven experience in a catering or hospitality kitchen environment.
* Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering on Key Performance Indicators such as sales, costs, and profitability.
* Must be aged 18 years or over due to store legislative requirements.
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience in a Fresh Food Production Kitchen.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Experience working with budgets and/or targets.
