This role requires an experienced HR business partner who will add immediate impact through excellent analytical/reporting skills to support cyclical HR activity as well as the implementation of the future organisation design structure at SJP. This person will manage key relationships, identifying where interventions are necessary, and assist with managing ER cases and identifying/implementing relevant employment law changes and ensuring they are understood by key partners. Previous OD experience preferred - role would suit someone confident and commercial who is comfortable making decisions and able to cope well with a high degree of ambiguity whilst operating professionally and modelling resilience. What you'll be doing: Support the design/implementation of new organisational designs across assigned business areas. Evaluate the impact of proposed designs, provide challenge and help leaders plan the implementation of such changes. Create accurate proposal/consultation packs for managers/employees, and support leaders during consultation, ensuring questions and feedback and alternative proposals are collated, raised through senior leadership, and effectively translated to impacted individuals. Maintain data accuracy of all impacted employees across a complex program and report regularly to other key teams such as Finance and Communications. Support delivery of a seamless and valued HR partnering service which focuses on all operational activities across the people life cycle. Identify and utilise opportunities to coach/train line managers in areas of people management or ER such as performance reviews, development plans, pay and promotion discussions in line with SJP policy and legislation. Work with assigned business leaders to help them understand Talent Management strategy and to implement talent management practices, review and maintain succession plans and workforce strategy plans for the long-term requirements of the business areas. Interpret employment law and good practice guidance, ensuring changes are communicated, understood by all parties, and necessary changes to policies, frameworks and procedures are clearly communicated. Support the cyclical reward processes and promotion proposals, ensuring centrally defined processes are adhered to. Undertake job evaluations as required, providing expertise and challenge accordingly. Manage ER cases end-to-end where required, and support and inform appropriate wellbeing activity. Who we're looking for: Previous business partnering/analysis experience including organisational design from either a people function or management consultancy capacity. Comprehensive and current knowledge of employment law and employee relations/general HR best practice, and an understanding of how this knowledge can be applied practically to deliver balanced and commercial outcomes. Broad HR generalist experience to enable the resolution of diverse HR issues (reward, recruitment, culture, job evaluation and salary benchmarking, development, talent management, health and wellbeing and workforce planning). Good understanding of key employee life cycle events for employees and alignment with core SJP polices & practices including induction, development planning and leavers. Sound understanding of working in a regulatory environment, ideally FS. Good understanding of the SJP business, distribution model and Partnership. Qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, or working towards. Able to deal with multiple sophisticated and interconnected problems and formulate coherent conclusions/recommendations. Strong analytical skills and comfortable with ambiguity. Excellent communication skills - able to deal sensitively and tactfully with a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality. Special Requirements: Some national travel (Cirencester, London) with occasional overnight stays. Some flexibility around working hours envisaged from time to time.
