Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Permanent - Newcastle As part of team based in Newcastle UK. You will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. As a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical you will support the production of pipeline products. You will become an expert in monitoring the maintenance and stability of cutting-edge equipment. You'll be part of a collaborative team providing full life-cycle maintenance to providing enhancements to increase up-time and availability. As a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical you will be responsible for: Delivering the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans; Completing the Planned Maintenance inspections as defined by the site maintenance plans; Planning and delivering corrective and reactive work, ensuring that tools, parts and materials are available and production downtime is minimized; Ensuring that all plant and equipment on sites is modified and improved, as necessary, to maximize equipment availability and performance; Completing dynamic risk assessments where necessary and to ensure that safe working practices are upheld and risks reduced; Undertaking repairs of manufacturing equipment and to assist the site team and help them make the best decisions; Taking ownership of engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments; Contributing to problem solving workshops, providing expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement actions; To be successful in this role you will: Have you successfully completed your apprenticeship in mechatronics or industrial mechanics or in a comparable field Have a good command of written and spoken English Have a conscientious, careful and independent way of working in order to fulfill your tasks in a targeted manner Have a high level of teamwork and reliability and you are used to working in an international environment With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
