Senior/Principal Reliability Engineer, GaN
About the role
As Senior/Principal Reliability Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and durability of our GaN products by conducting testing, analysing failures, optimising designs and processes, and providing valuable insights to enhance the overall performance of our technology.
This is your new job:
1. Develop and manage the reliability test plan for E-mode GaN products and calculate extrapolated lifetime for a given mission profile.
2. Monitor the internal reliability test to fail tests in our labs (HVOS, TC, HTOL, etc) and manage reliability tests with external partners.
3. Analyse reliability test results data to extract acceleration parameters.
4. Identify and address reliability gaps and drive reliability improvements activities.
5. Collaborate with the R&D team and laboratories to develop/improve tests and analysis methods of E-mode GaN products.
6. Monitor failure analysis investigation to understand the main wear-out failure mechanisms.
This is you:
1. Master's Degree or equivalent in Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a similar discipline, PhD preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of GaN semiconductor physics.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience of power semiconductor devices, ideally wide band gap GaN HEMTs.
4. Understanding of mechanical, electrical and thermal failure modes in semiconductor products, and failure analysis techniques.
5. Knowledge of international quality standards such as JEDEC, and AEC-Q101, reliability test to fail methods, and reliability test equipment.
6. Strong data analysis skills (JMP, MATLAB, Minitab, etc.) with clear written and verbal communication skills.
7. Experience working within GaN reliability in an industrial environment is highly advantageous.
8. Knowledge of wafer fab processes and assembly preferred.
This is what Nexperia offers:
