EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services. The Technical Business Partner will be responsible for helping to shape and design large scale/complex ICT projects for EA Directorates and Services and will act in an advisory capacity for service led projects. The role will seek to identify opportunities within EA and provide support in the delivery of solutions. The Technical Business Partner role will collaborate with the five directorates to develop initiatives and strategies that optimise processes and improve service delivery within EA. They will be the contact point for all issues pertaining to the project(s) assigned to them, including liaison with ICT Heads of Service and stakeholders across the Education Authority, and external suppliers to ensure consistent Programme Delivery. As a Technical Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be: Liaising with EA Business Areas/Services to identify and document existing business processes within programme scope, identifying gaps & proposing efficiencies where relevant to define project technical & business requirements. Liaising with DE in respect of the Business Case funding for projects over the delegated limit. Reporting findings to stakeholders and providing Business Partner Leads with regular status reports as defined within the reporting guidelines Presenting new technology, innovations and developments to the business. Analysing the market and identifying suitable applications - ensuring the Programme meets the application needs of the EA. Leading and coordinating the activities of their area of responsibility ensuring the achievement of the projects’ overall objectives within specified time and budget constraints. Managing a team and be responsible for the successful implementation of multiple ICT projects to support the core business areas of the Education Authority You'll have: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, acting as a translator between parties The ability to deliver high performance whilst working under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes. Strong collaborative skills to build genuine and productive relationships with internal & external stakeholders. A customer focused passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to implementing improvements/change. Excellent proven analytical & creative thinking and an informed evidence-based approach to decision-making. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of business stakeholders, understand the needs of EA Services, and other stakeholders. In particular demonstrating ability to translate service improvements into achievable technical deliverables and project outcomes.
