Description ABOUT YOU The purpose of the Quality Engineer role is to assist the quality manager in providing quality support to the Electrical business. This consists of assisting in all aspects of internal and 3 rd party audits, writing and follow-up on corrective actions, customer complaint investigations, and managing quality improvement initiatives at the regional level, as well as review and creation of local procedures. Required skills and experience: Knowledge of ISO 17065, 17025, 17020, 9001 and 27001 Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific, technical, and engineering reports, standards and journals Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to relate to all stakeholders and communicate effectively Detail oriented Excellent organizational skills Ability to work autonomously Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities Microsoft Proficiency IT literacy skills Beneficial skills and experience Knowledge of certification processes Knowledge of the testing, inspection, certification industry Familiar with UKAS or IECEE etc. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY You will be assisting in all aspects of internal and 3 rd party audits, writing and follow-up on corrective actions, customer complaint investigations, and managing quality improvement initiatives at the regional level, as well as review and creation of local procedures. Key activities: Manage procedural documents and schemes assigned to them to ensure continued compliance with ISO 17020, 17025 and 17065. Work with management to build business cases for recruitment, scope extensions, or new equipment if required. Conduct or participate in technical internal/external audits with UKAS, IECEE, OSHA in line with test standards, directives, and schemes (Medical, EMC, Safety etc.) To review audit findings and their closure in a timely manner considering of timescales agreed with auditors. To supervise test engineers or trainees, if so requested. This includes training records, peer reviews and annual technical reviews. To work as part of a team and to input advise and comment as appropriate on technical aspects within their expertise. Complete or participate in measurement uncertainty of calibration, if so requested. Assist Monitor, control, and consult in support of compliance and continuous improvement efforts Liaise as necessary with UK Electrical staff on quality matters ensuring that the requirements of the various accreditations are met Participate in and support periodic quality system management reviews Assist in monitoring, coordinating, investigating, reporting, and close out internal and external complaints Ensure all customer complaints are logged and closed out in a timely manner Represents Intertek's interests with external bodies WHAT WE OFFER Join Intertek and become part of our global network of inspiring and entrepreneurial colleagues.
