We are recruiting on behalf of a SEND secondary school in Theale for a dedicated SEMH teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 4:30, with a 4:00 finish on Fridays).
About the Role:
1. Supporting students with social, emotional, mental health needs.
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups to assist learning and development.
3. Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
4. Implementing behaviour strategies and promoting a positive learning environment.
5. Building strong relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
6. Collaborating with staff, parents and external professionals to support student development.
About You:
1. School-based experience working with SEND students (ideally SEMH, but not essential).
2. Strong behaviour management skills.
3. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
4. Level 3 qualification in any subject.
5. Patient, adaptable and committed to making a difference.
6. Team player with excellent communication skills.
