About the role
The role of an ASB Officer is an interesting and challenging one. Working with the other ASB Officer in the tenancy services team, you will be responsible for the management of ASB in Runnymede’s social housing stock. In this role you will:
deal with all aspects of ASB including noise nuisance, criminal behaviour and hate crimes
ensure a victim led response to anti-social behaviour in the Council’s housing stock
work to improve procedures and processes to ensure effective management of ASB cases
provide advice and support about ASB to the tenancy services team
work with partnership agencies, such as the police and social services, to deal with complex cases and deliver successful outcomes
maintain accurate records of ASB cases to assist with reporting and performance reviews
report any safeguarding or domestic abuse concerns and ensure action is taken to safeguard residents
About you
The ideal candidate for the role will bring commitment, enthusiasm, knowledge and practical experience of managing ASB in a social housing. You will have:
experience of managing an ASB caseload
a thorough working knowledge of current ASB legislation
experience of progressing ASB cases through to possession action, instructing legal teams and appearing as a witness at court.
a track record of effective problem solving through partnership working and relationship building
excellent communication skills
ability to work independently or as part of a team
