As a Business Services Co-ordinator you'll provide efficient, effective and flexible support within a complex portfolio.You will support the team to meet its objectives by ensuring high standards of business support, compliance, customer service and facility maintenance through varied tasks, relating to a number of different properties and departments. This is a part-time fixed term-role, until 9 th November 2025 and you'll work 30 hours per week. You may be asked to work weekends and bank holidays, to work outside sometimes, and to support teams and travel to the different sites in our area. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. Whether you're working from our central office in Grasmere, or hot-desking at any of our properties, you'll be in the heart of what we do. You'll be working within a small team, each with your own areas of focus and often based in different places, however you'll communicate frequently to support each other and to work together on areas of cross-over. You'll be completing tasks for different departments, whether that is Visitor Operations, House and Collections or Countryside, so you'll be in communication with different key people to provide you with the best insight for activities. As a portfolio we value personal development, so as well as the role-specific induction, you'll also be able to sign up for available training days throughout the year, supported by your line manager - these can range from time management courses to disability awareness training or mental health first aid courses. What you'll be doing Working closely with our Facilities and Welcome Managers, your role will include tasks such as collating operational figures, liaising with teams to organise training days, monitoring external mailboxes ensuring our supporters get timely and informed responses to their queries, and undertaking financial processes. You'll also be providing ad-hoc business support to our ranger and visitor operations teams. From the woodlands and fells of Aira Force and Gowbarrow Park, to the historic collection at Townend, and from the dramatic peaks of the Langdale valley to the lawns and lake shore path of Fell Foot, you'll play your part in ensuring our places are looked after and can continue to welcome a wide range of visitors. You'll be a champion of best practice when it comes to business support, and will confidently challenge the status quo when you think there's a better way of doing something.
