Business Development Manager - Food Service Hours of Work - 40 Hours, Monday to Friday, Full Time Permanent Location: North London and surrounding area Salary: £32k Bonuses & Company Car & more You will be visiting Food Service Channel outlets in your area (workplace, healthcare and education sites) where you will be selling in new distribution and increased volumes of food products on behalf of a major UK brand. We are looking for someone with similar sales experience in this channel or similar role previously. Who are we looking for, does this describe you? Good communication and interpersonal skills, including rapport building, influencing and negotiation Good organisational and planning skills Analytical, able to interpret sales data Self-motivated with a flexible and pro-active approach Administration and organisational skills IT literate Previous retail, food service, and/or FMCG sales experience desirable but not essential Full valid driving licence If this describes you, then apply now and one of the team will be in touch once they have reviewed your application More about the job itself: Completion of predetermined quantity of outlet visits per week aligned to client KPIs Achieve a predetermined minimum quantity of visit New Distribution Points aligned to client KPIs Negotiation and maintenance increase distribution of new and existing products aligned to the client KPIs Continual contribution to other activities that generate return on investment Conduct customer sampling in customer outlets to drive new lines as the business requires Compliance Defend client share of space by ensuring key SKUs are available with the correct price displayed Ensure maximum outlet awareness of all existing products and new product launches via POS, National and local activity Data Recording & Reporting Ensure all response data is recorded 100% accurately via the data recording tool Provide weekly updates on wins with details and pictures to promote activity to the client Update CRM to ensure accuracy, the removal of closed sites and cleansing of data Provide prompt and thorough feedback concerning supply, pricing or availability of products Complete weekly feedback as requested by manager Channel Insight Provide insightful and actionable feedback on market intelligence/competitor activity Provide insightful feedback on any changes to Contract Caterer working practises Keep abreast of trends, news and information concerning the channel in which you are working Technical Create bespoke presentations for customer meetings To utilise sales data, case studies and other material supplied to pre-sell upcoming activity in order to gain incremental stock orders and displays in outlet To have a thorough understanding of range available to each contract caterer and part of through their specific Routes to Market
