Broker Liaison
The City Recruiter is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading provider of specialist insurance products, including motor and household legal expenses, landlord and rent guarantee, and automotive ancillary products. They work with insurers, brokers, and MGAs nationally, managing affinity schemes and wholesaling insurance products across the UK.
Role Overview
As a Broker Liaison, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the business by ensuring timely submissions of bordereau containing risk information, in line with Terms of Business Agreements. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring payments for those bordereaux are received on time.
Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be liaising with brokers to set up agencies, manage enquiries, and maintain credit control.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong broker relationships, identifying growth opportunities.
* Monitor broker activity, track product sales, and identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
* Maintain an accurate broker database with up-to-date contact details and key account information.
* Proactively promote and sell ancillary insurance products to brokers, maximising revenue.
* Encourage brokers to transition to electronic submissions for greater efficiency.
* Provide insurance quotations and issue policy documentation.
* Accurately input and manage sales data using Excel, generating performance reports.
* Oversee invoicing and ensure timely payment recovery.
* Assist in producing bordereaux reports and other performance-related documentation.
* Support marketing efforts, contributing to campaigns and website updates.
* Handle inbound sales queries via phone and email, ensuring top-level service.
* Occasionally attend offsite meetings with brokers and product partners.
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Broker/Legal Expenses Administration role within the insurance industry.
* Strong knowledge of bordereau submissions and the insurance process.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with a proactive approach.
* Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with strong grammar skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
* Highly proficient in Excel, with experience in reporting and database management.
