H Walton Ltd provide an efficient, complete service from the commodity market negotiations to final delivery by our own fleet of vehicles, providing a nationwide delivery service specialising from the Borders of Scotland down to the Midlands.
Key elements of the Job Role will include but are not limited to:
1. Liaising with drivers and hauliers regarding ongoing work
2. Dealing with any queries that may occur throughout the day
3. Booking in collections and deliveries with our hauliers and customers
4. Entering/Updating jobs onto the system
5. Stock management
6. Creating collection references for our own fleet, hauliers, and customers
Skills and Qualities:
1. Previous experience in agricultural bulk logistics is preferred but not essential
2. Proficient in data entry and computer systems including Excel
3. Experience with SAP is preferred but full training will be given
4. Good attention to detail
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone etiquette
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
8. Ability to work independently as well as within a team
9. Ability to work to deadlines
10. Well organised with strong administration skills
