Provide direction to the team by carrying out activities such as coordinating labour movements when required, facilitating CI and problem-solving initiatives. The makers of KitKat, Aero, Yorkie bars & Polo Mints are looking for help supporting the production team doing a variety of roles around the factory - working as part of a manufacturing team to create our confectionery products, monitoring quality of products, work as part of a production to team to operate packing machines whilst adhering to the highest safety and food hygiene standards. A day in the life of Line Technician Operator You would be involved in the manufacturing area of the factory, the product of which we are proud, where you are responsible for food safety, critical aspects of manufacturing, ensuring key standards are met and making sure that the product meets the correct high standards each and every time. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to problem solve technical and process issues that may arise on the machinery and using this knowledge to update the operational standards and close issues out at root cause. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain & improve safety and quality standards - Operate a complex chocolate manufacturing plant and ensure effective process control - Carry out effective plant start-ups and shutdowns, always working safely. - Carry out planned and ad-hoc cleaning tasks in the manufacturing area and on processing equipment to ensure food safety standards are maintained. - Create and improve the operating standards - Carry out routine maintenance care tasks to ensure reliability of equipment - Coordinate and facilitate planned activities on the line What will make you successful This role would be suitable for someone with a keen interest in problem solving, a desire for high standards within their work and achieving high quality with our Famous Household brands. You will have the ability to understand and breakdown issues, finding simple solutions through having a curious mind-set and inquisitive nature.
