I am seeking an experienced Site Manager for an 8-month contract overseeing façade refurbishment works on three buildings in Plymouth, including a high-rise block. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of rendering, rainscreen, and cladding.
Key Details:
* Project Duration: 8 months
* Location: Plymouth
* Buildings: 3 buildings (two requiring 4 weeks each, one requiring at least 37 weeks)
* Work Type: Facades, rendering, rainscreen, cladding
* Start Date: Late February / Early March
Key Responsibilities:
* Health & Safety: Always ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections, and ensuring all personnel comply with best practices.
* Site Management: Overseeing the entire site operation, managing subcontractors, planning work schedules, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Quality Control: Maintaining high attention to detail to deliver top-quality work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
* Occupied Buildings: Managing works efficiently with minimal disruption to residents and tenants, implementing effective communication strategies with all stakeholders.
* Coordination & Reporting: Liaising with the client, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular updates.
* Material & Resource Management: Coordinating deliveries, managing site resources effectively, and ensuring materials are used efficiently.
* Problem Solving: Addressing any on-site challenges swiftly and effectively to prevent project delays and ensure continued workflow.
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing façade refurbishment projects with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Strong Health & Safety background and understanding of regulations, with the ability to enforce site compliance at all levels.
* Experience working on high-rise buildings and occupied properties is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (or equivalent) required.
* Familiarity with industry-standard software for project management and reporting.
