The Role: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our Consumer PR team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work across a portfolio of clients, developing and executing campaigns and press office activities, and building strong relationships with clients, internal teams and media. The ideal candidate will be someone who champions diverse thinking and approach, has a passion for creativity and innovation, and is committed to delivering results for clients. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their business goals and objectives, and help develop and deliver campaigns and strategies that align with their vision. You will lead and collaborate with the wider PR team – including creative, strategy and influencer specialists – to deliver stand-out campaigns and press office work. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of consumer PR activity, including media relations, content creation, media strategies and a range of media materials, and will also support your account team with the creation and execution of PR plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex campaigns and PR retainers, managing a team of Account Executives, and delivering results for clients. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams. As an Account Manager, you will need to be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong project management skills. Additionally, you should be able to think creatively and bring new ideas to the table that will help drive client success. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of client accounts, including developing and executing day-to-day PR campaigns and press office work, and ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain a finger on the pulse of the news agenda, particularly within the fashion, lifestyle and cultural spaces, to drive compelling client communications tactics Build and maintain strong relationships with key media titles, and instil a focus on media relationship-building in junior team members Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and anticipating their needs Write compelling press releases, messaging, Q&As and pitches that fits the clients’ tone of voice and ladders up to agreed communications strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, analytics, and influence to ensure successful campaign execution Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using data to inform decision-making and optimize campaign effectiveness Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with clients and internal teams Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed Support senior team members with new business proposals, including providing background research and media landscape expertise Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures, including timesheets, invoicing, and project management tools Requirements: At least one year’s experience at Account Manager level Well-connected, with a passion for culture – whether that be music, fashion, or photography Strong understanding of the consumer media landscape, including new trends and social media Strong writing skills with experience creating toolkits, press release and compelling media pitches Experience managing press office retainers and/or large-scale PR campaigns Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills. Experience in a fast-paced agency environment is preferred. Demonstrated experience in building consistently productive relationships. The ability to remain optimistic under pressure. Strong experience in key stakeholder management. A creative outlook with the ability to achieve the full potential from projects, keeping abreast of and utilizing new industry developments and technology.
