Be Part of Our Team
As a Finance Assistant, you will deal with a wide range of tasks from managing all activities related to invoicing, to providing costs to clients and liaising with all teams across Ascent and the wider Group Finance team.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
* Process, prepare and produce billing according to agreed processes and SLAs
* Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports
* Support the management of accounts and reports
* Collect and enter data for various spreadsheets and databases
* Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with clients
* Adhere to the company’s or organisation’s financial policies and procedures
* Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
* Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
* Responsible for preparing client invoices.
Our Candidate Requirements
* Good knowledge of accounting practices
* Must be comfortable speaking to customers about financial issues.
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Computer literate
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Ability to work without supervision and make decisions using own initiative
Further Information
As part of the Ascent on-boarding process all successful applicants are required to complete the group’s employment screening process. This process helps to ensure that all new employees meet our standards in relation to honesty and integrity therefore protecting the interests of the Group, existing employees, clients, partners and other stakeholders.
Training will be conducted over a period of a few weeks in the Manchester office, following training the Hybrid working model will commence.
